From 2026 we actively encourage and support teams who choose to use Generative AI tools as part of their project work. TechLauncher aims to educate students in the responsible and effective use of AI-assisted development, preparing them for the modern software engineering workplace.
Example Tools
| Tool | Description |
|---|---|
| Claude Code | Anthropic’s AI coding assistant, available as a CLI and IDE integration |
| Google Gemini | Google’s multimodal AI model with code generation capabilities |
| OpenAI Codex / ChatGPT | OpenAI’s AI models for code generation and assistance |
| GitHub Copilot | AI pair programmer integrated into your editor |
Guidelines
- Acknowledge use. All AI-generated or AI-assisted work must be clearly attributed in your project documentation and commit messages.
- Understand what you submit. You are responsible for all code and deliverables, regardless of how they were produced.
- Use AI to learn, not to bypass learning. AI tools should enhance your understanding, not replace it.
Anthropic is supporting our course with every team getting access to the Claude API. Instructions for accessing the API are posted on Ed Discussion.
