Organization#

What this course is about#

AI that can seamlessly interact with the physical world just like humans is not there yet. It will be developed by your generation of researchers, developers, scientists and entrepreneurs. This course aims to give you the foundations that you need to be part of this exciting journey.

It is an extension of the Introduction to AI course and aims to give you an overview of the challenges that still needs to be addressed to achieve physical AI and an overview of the different research areas and topics contributing to physical AI.

COMP4620/8620 is organized in 4 main activities:

1 Paper presentation  
2 Paper reviews  
3 One evaluation per week - evaluate presentations and discussions by other students and answer quizzes  
4 Team Project

  • Tutorials
    • Progress on the milestones will be discussed and marked during the weekly tutorials
    • Active participation and attendance is required for several classes and tutorials.
    • Some assignments require you to be present in class and the tutorials.
