As of Semester 1, 2022, the Linux Labs are now operating at full capacity.

There are six Linux computer labs in the CSIT building (bldg #108), in rooms N109, N111, N112, N113, N114, and the joint room N115/N116 and two in the Hanna Neumann Building (#145), in rooms 1.23 and 1.24 (aka Lab1 and Lab2).

Although known informally as ‘CSIT Linux Labs’ they are in fact part of the integrated ANU Information Commons (IC) computing environment and are subject to the relevant ANU Policies.

N111 is also known as the Master’s Lab and provides for Master level students to have a place to work, although some undergraduate classes are also booked into this room.

You can access the laboratories with your student card, and you may have access to some facilities and not others, based on your enrolment. Most laboratories have extended availability, and some laboratories may be available on a 24-hour basis (at least for part of the academic year).

Logins on the Linux computers in the labs are only available to students and educators of all current COMP courses and other current courses using the labs.
