When you need to leave your computer for a short time, you should lock the screen, this will prevent other users accessing this machine until you return.
You can lock your screen using the menu in the top right of the screen and clicking on the lock icon. Or by pressing + L
If you lock your screen for more than 1 hour your session will automatically disconnect possibly losing unsaved work. This is done to allow fair access to all the machines in the labs.
