Welcome Reception: 6:30pm, Sunday 30 November, 2025
We hope you can join us on Sunday for our welcome reception.
This is an opportunity for you to meet your fellow scholars and have a chat with some of the presenters.
The welcome reception is free of charge and will include both vegetarian and gluten free selections as well as soft drinks.

Excursion: 10:00 am, Saturday December 6, 2025
The Summer School’s tradition is to visit the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve, so on the weekend we’ll treat ourselves to an excursion out of Canberra.
We will be meeting around 9:45 outside the Science Teaching building for a 10:00am departure. We will return to campus by 5pm at the latest.
Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve is in the mountains, around a 40-minute scenic drive out of Canberra. We can expect to come across kangaroos, wallabies, koalas and emus which run wild. We normally take a gentle walk on one of the marked walking trails.
Lunch will be provided on the excursion. This social event is free to participants.

Summer School Dinner: Tuesday 9 December, 2025
Come along to dinner from 5:30pm at Lazy Su, at 1/9 Lonsdale St, Braddon. This is approximately a 25 minute walk from our lecture venue. Food is vegan. Alcoholic drinks are not paid for us.
