n this project, the student will be developing a Maximum-Power-Point-Tracker (MPPT) for perovskite solar cells using LabVIEW programming and Autolab potentiostat. MPPT is required to make sure solar cells generate the maximum power by operating at the right voltages in real time. Since perovskite solar cells have very different (much lower) photocurrent response compared to silicon solar cells, the student is required to develop an new algorithm to track the maximum power from the perovskite solar cells. Throughout the project, the student is expected to gain more understanding about operation of photovoltaic system as well as integration of software/hardware for a real application. Suitable for honours/undergraduate students with electronics background and good programming skill.
Starting date is flexible.
