In this project, the student will be developing sputtering recipes to deposit transparent conducting oxide thin films with low parasitic absorption and high conductivity. One potential material to be tried in the project is molybdenum-doped indium oxide. The developed layer will then be used in perovskite and perovskite-silicon tandem solar cells to improve the cell performance. Throughout the project, the student is expected to gain deep understanding about thin films deposition and characterization techniques. Suitable for honours students with strong electronics/semiconductor physics background.
Starting date is flexible.
