Master of Applied Cybernetics

Connect with us

The 3A Institute (3Ai) Master of Applied Cybernetics is the world’s first graduate program focusing on the challenges of ensuring Ai-enabled cyber-physical systems are safe, sustainable and responsible.

The 3Ai Masters was launched in 2019 and is the Institute's flagship program. It is iterative and participatory – the students are involved in designing the program whilst undertaking it, in the spirit of immersive design. The program creates and refines the blueprint for the new branch of engineering, and supports a range of educational experiences and research projects at the institute and beyond.

The program is full-time immersive on campus at the Australian National University from February to November each year. Additional courses are taken remotely. Entry is by competitive application only, and numbers are strictly limited to under 20. Students are selected on a cohort basis to represent a mix of backgrounds, experiences and demographics.
