COMP 3620 / 6320 – Semester 1 2023

This course covers three key topics from the field of AI: Search, Knowledge Representation and Reasoning, and Planning. There are also a few invited lectures to give a flavour of other topics in AI and paths for students to continue their studies.   • Where: Kambri cinema on Mondays and Copland Lec T on Fridays. The lectures will also be livestreamed to zoom

  • Pre-requisites:
    • for COMP3620: COMP1110 or COMP1140 – and COMP2620
    • for COMP6320: COMP6710 and COMP6262
    • for everyone: know how to code in python and use git

  • Evaluation:
    • 3 assignments (total weight of the assignments 30%)
    • 6 quizzes (total weight of the quizzes 10%)
    • mid-semester exam (weight 20%)
    • final exam (weight 40%)
  • Hurdles:
    • grade on the mid-semester exam >= 40 (out of 100)
  • Passing grade: 50% or more
