Assignment 4 (Individual Assignment): Presentation - Part B [100/100 MARKS]

Prepare a presentation, up to a maximum of 5 minutes, with 1-2 minutes additionally allocated for answering questions from other students in your tutorial, and from your tutor. Alex will also sit in on a number of presentations.

Your presentation must include, at the very least, the following points:

  • Why you chose the project, what stood out?
  • Why you chose the particular issues you chose to work on?
  • What specific processes are followed by the project with regards to working on issues, opening PRs, potentially merging PRs, etc. (It is not required to have any of your PRs merged into the project, it is also not expected that you will have any PRs merged. If you do managed to get a PR(s) merged, congratulations!)
  • Any challenges you encountered during the development
  • Anything interesting you discovered while working on the project?
  • Lessons learned during this process, if you were doing it again, what would you do differently?
  • Demonstration/showcase of your what you managed to achieve and what you submitted or worked on so far
  • You can also include more specific information about your work if required, i.e. from Activity 3

Feel free to include anything else you found interesting or relevant to the project.

There is no restriction on how many slides you can have, but do note that making a single slide for the whole presentation is not adequate. Moreover, you should have a ‘title’ slide at the beginning. Make sure you allocate enough time to adequately present your presentation.

Reminder the presentation is due before the main bulk of Assignment 5
