The School of Computing (SOCO) wrapped up the year in style at the 2025 end-of-year celebration, where Tony and Peter proudly announced our Top Tutors and Course Conveners. 

With over 150 CSAs supporting our students, the competition was fierce - but these outstanding individuals stood out for their proactive support, clear communication, and dedication to both staff and students.

These champions didn’t just lead labs and tutorials—they inspired, guided, and elevated the learning experience for everyone.

Course Convener of the Year

The second annual award, presented by Christie Liu, was hotly contested with 14 conveners receiving votes from the School and College professional support staff.

    • Bernardo Pereira Nunes – COMP2100/6442 Software Construction (“Bernardo is the best!”)
  • Winner:

    • Susan Hansen – COMP8260 Professional Practice Responsible Innovation and Leadership

      Recognised for building community, valuing professional staff, and caring deeply for students.

And yes—the winner walked away with a set of cutlery.
