Background:

Tailored Accounts has successfully developed two primary automation bots, AndyBat and Athena, which operate on platforms such as Xero, WorkflowMax, and G-Suite products. These bots are equipped to handle a wide array of accounting tasks with precision and efficiency, such as:

- AP Cash Coding\

  • AR Bank Rules\
  • Audit Payroll\
  • End of Financial Year (EOFY) Processes\
  • Payment Summary\
  • Payroll and Payroll Setup\
  • Super Payable Report\
  • Tax BAS and Tax IAS\
  • Financial Reports

Objective:

The Automation Solutions Intern will play a pivotal role in enhancing and expanding the capabilities of our existing accounting automation bots, AndyBat and Athena. The intern will focus on streamlining accounting processes through various initiatives, including:

a. Workflow Enhancement:

- Evaluate existing workflows for efficiency and effectiveness.\

  • Identify areas of improvement and implement enhancements to streamline operations and increase automation reliability.

b. New Workflow Creation:

- Design and develop innovative workflows to address unmet needs within our financial operations.\

  • Collaborate with the automation team to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

c. Automation Development:

- Research and propose new automation solutions that can operate in conjunction with AndyBat and Athena.\

  • Develop and test new automation functionalities tailored to the specific needs of our business systems.

These initiatives will enhance the intern’s skills in robotic process automation (RPA), project management, and cross-functional collaboration, providing them with invaluable hands-on experience in a cutting-edge technological environment.

**Required technical skills**\

  1. Proficiency in RPA Tools (Preferred):

- Basic experience with RPA tools.

- Proficiency in UiPath, as it is the primary platform used for our automation bots.

  1. Data Analysis and Problem Solving:

- Skills in data analysis tools and techniques, crucial for optimizing workflows and understanding process outputs.

- Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and develop innovative solutions within the automation frameworks.

  1. Platform Familiarity:

- Familiarity with G-Suite products, as our bots operate within this environment.

- Experience with accounting platforms like Xero and WorkflowMax is ideal.

  1. Communication and Collaboration:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.

- Experience working in diverse, cross-functional teams to leverage a wide range of expertise.

  1. Project Management and Adaptability:

- Basic project management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies or changes in the technological landscape.

  1. Attention to Detail:

- A high level of precision is necessary to ensure that automated workflows function correctly and efficiently.

  1. Understanding of Accounting Concepts:

- While not required, a basic understanding of accounting concepts and principles will be beneficial as it can help the intern understand the fundamental tasks that the bots perform.

The closing date for Expressions of Interest for internship projects is 19th May, 2024. Students who have passed the eligibility checks and would have been sent the application form.
