Project Overview

The aim of this project is to review the user interface of our drone-based animal radio tracking system and propose improvements for the future generations of the product. You’ll receive training and join one of our drone pilots for at least one outdoor tracking session. Once familiar with the system, you’ll use your skills in UX, Graphic or Web design and work with us to identify aspects that can be improved, create mock-ups, and gather feedback from stakeholders.

● Develop Project plan and timeline with team

● Develop an understanding of the Wildlife Drones tracking system

● Attended Field work session/s

● Consider system and future options

● Design feedback collection strategy and tools administer / collect and analyse feedback

● Prepare recommendations

- Consolidate findings into a comprehensive report.

- Provide clear and actionable recommendations for improving future

generations of the product.

● Create implementation plan

- Develop a phased implementation plan for adopting the recommended

strategies.

- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.

Internship Deliverables:

● Review / Analysis documentation including: stakeholder feedback and analysis

● Recommendations and proposed future actions (substantiated and evidenced) and Implementation Plan

● Mock-ups

Benefits to the student

This project provides the student with an opportunity to work with a small collaborative team in a tech startup environment, learning new skills and practically applying these while receiving mentoring and support.

The closing date for Expressions of Interest for internship projects is 19th May, 2024. Students who have passed the eligibility checks would have received the application form.
