Project
Fios
Fios is a strategic planning tool designed to transform complex data into actionable, cohesive plans. The intern will contribute to advancing the development of Fios, focusing on enhancing its modern web architecture, real-time functionality, and user experience. Working with our Node.js and React stack, the intern will help implement features that integrate AI capabilities and maintain secure data handling practices. This opportunity provides hands-on experience in developing a system used for government and private industry applications, offering exposure to both cutting-edge web technologies and security-critical applications.
Required/Preferred Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js
- Experience with React and modern front-end development
- Familiarity with MongoDB and NoSQL database concepts
- Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
- Understanding of database management, particularly with SQL or NoSQL systems.
- Experience with data visualization tools and knowledge of AI/ML concepts will be an advantage.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Experience with real-time data handling (Socket.io, WebSockets)
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and cybersecurity principles
- Familiarity with AI/ML integration in web applications
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Understanding of authentication and authorization protocols
- Version control with Git

Delivery Mode
The intern can work in a hybrid model, with a combination of in-person meetings and remote work, offering flexibility while maintaining regular communication and feedback loops.
