Outline

In this lab you will:

  1. continue working on your portfolio
  2. ask your instructors for feedback
  3. ask any questions you might have about submitting your prototype

Introduction

Your portfolio 3 is due next week! The next two labs will be dedicated to continuing your work on the portfolio submission. Please reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns about your portfolio submission!

If you haven’t already, Fork and Clone the template repo for your project. There’s still a few folks missing their own forks so please do so now!

Draft Sketches

As a part of the portfolio submission, you have to submit up to two instances of lab work that reflects your exploration of the theme and/or ml5 model you have used in your work. This is to make sure you have been actively working on the labs that build towards your portfolio.

Copy over your two lab examples over to your project repo and name them as sketch1.js and sketch2.js. (sketch.js will be your main reponse to the portfolio theme)

HCI & ML

The portfolio submission also asks for two written responses detailing your independent research and responses to HCI and ML concepts discussed this term. When writing these responses, consider the following:

  • What ml5 model have you chosen in your portfolio response? Why have you chosen it?
  • What kinds of interactions do you expect the audience to engage in? How does the ml5 model complement this interaction?
  • What is the purpose of the machine learning system(s) you have implemented? How does this align with your interpretation?
  • How would you define machine learning with respects to your work?

Summary

Congratulations! In this lab you:

  1. continued working on your portfolio
  2. asked your instructors for feedback
  3. asked any questions you might have about submitting your prototype
