COMP1140 has additional course content and a related larger project. Starting in week 4, the weekly workshops are the main course activity focused on COMP1140. The goals and specifications for the COMP1140 project will be developed collaboratively within those workshops. As such, workshop attendance is critical for COMP1140 students.
Similar to Lab Engagement, the mark on this course grade component will be determined based on the percentage of 30 workshop engagement marks obtained. 16 (a bit over 2.6% of the course marks) of those come from basic/good engagement in each of the 8 workshops (weeks 4-8 and 10-12). 14 (a bit under 2.4% of the course marks) marks are based on a holistic evaluation of your contributions to the project development, in particular your substantive contributions in the form of relevant questions, ideas, and discussion points in the workshops and on the course forum, across the semester, by the course convener.
